The purpose of this map is to visually represent the territorial claimings as perceived through the noses of dogs. People walking their dogs were surveyed and asked to disclose the coordinates of the typical paths they take. Those points were then plotted on a picture of the neighborhood. The points enclosed areas which were then filled with varying colors to represent the different turfs of each dog. Each blip is animated to show us the actual path taken.
