Pleasant Wright's work in clay and fabric is a reflection of a life full of complexities and dichotomies from which she has distilled wonderfully bold and direct statements in both media. Pleasant has sold her work to people all over the US, Europe, Australia, and Africa. 

The artist now live on the Llano (high mesa desert) where she continues her work. Two years ago, she participated in a fundraiser by donating pottery bowl, along with other New Mexico potters. Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) was raised for a local food bank. "I had such a feeling of fulfillment and purpose that I had never experienced from selling my work." Pleasant has decided to continue donating her work to a variety of environmental, animal rescue, and help for the homeless organizations. "Being able to create from the heart instead of trying to conform to the dictates of society has been very freeing. People seem to have a positive response to receiving an original work of art while helping an organization at the same time. The artist gets better exposure and a positive affect has been rendered to the community. It is a win/win relationship for everyone."
