Resident reaction to estate transfers

A new beginning for two local communities

With the estate transfers completed on Monday 16th, two local residents who have long campaigned for improvements to their areas gave their reaction to the transfer:

Laura Driscoll, Chair of the Joint Estate Steering Group for the Island Gardens Neighbourhood area, said she was “delighted that the transfer had been completed and that local residents could now look forward to creating an excellent new local housing service in partnership with EastEndHomes.”

Mary Nepstad, who is Chair of the St Georges Steering Group and also a board member of EastEndHomes said she was “looking forward to a new estate based housing service at St Georges and the long awaited commencement of the much needed improvement programme for the estate.”
