ESSAY ON THE RELIGION AND ITS PRECEPTORS,

pp. 11-64: A history of the True Spiritual Christian Molokans, from its origins up to the migration to America.

 

Hist 1                           Forefathers abandon superstition for a Bible-based religion. They adhere to a literal and exact understanding and interpretation of the entire Bible.

Hist 2                     Orthodox Church begins persecution using the police. Sufferings and methods of persecution described; places of exile described.

Hist 3                     Initial success of Molokan teaching. Under the direction of Uklein, a community life based on Bible precepts is established.

DY 2                      David Yesseyevich and others arrested and imprisoned. While in prison Christ commands him to write the Book of Zion.

 

DY 3-25                 "THE BOOK OF ZION - Concerning the Separation of Zion and Jerusalem."

 

DY 3                      "Concerning the soul."  Obligations of this age make difficult the journey of the soul to salvation.

DY 4                      "Prayer - Behold of King of Eternal Glory."  Strong prayer for God's help and revelation in our life.

DY 5                      "Concerning Discernment."  Necessity to face the reality of events surrounding us. No help from the Lord for the disobedient and foolish. Most people apathetic concerning salvation and commandments.

DY 13                    "Outpour of the Spirit upon Jerusalem."  God pours out the Holy Spirit upon Jerusalem. They begin the journey appointed them.

DY 14                    "The Separation."  The separation into Zion and Jerusalem based on faith and inner convictions, not family ties. In sorrow many families are separated.

DY 15                    Examination of oneself to survive the sorrowful separation into the two. Many will only outwardly want be part of Zion.

DY 16                    "Sorrow for the entire world."  The worldwide dictator to arise; establishes himself as the head of all religion. He will persecute all religions that do not accept him as the head.

DY 17                    Members of Jerusalem must make decision whether to accept the mark of the beast or suffer persecution as a true believer.

DY 18                    "Seeking Strength."  Jerusalem should now pray to God for strength to attain salvation, rather than waiting.

DY 19                    "Slander from the unbelievers."  Many will slander and speak against these prophesies. DY only preaching and writing what was commanded him by Christ.

DY 20                    "Concerning the enticement of the Antichrist."  The antichrist will attempt to subdue all the people not  yet subject to his authority. He claims himself as the one people await.

DY 21                    "Concerning the Two Witnesses."  The two witnesses to appear and testify to the Kingdom and to strengthen the members of Jerusalem. They are killed and then resurrect.

DY 22                    "Concerning the advent of Christ."  The advent of Jesus Christ interferes with the antichrist's plans to destroy the final Christians. The beast and false-prophet destroyed.

DY 23                    "Building the Kingdom."  Christ returns in the manner He has promised. The Kingdom begins, the living are translated. The Lord send heralds throughout the earth to proclaim His Kingdom.

DY 24                    Description of the arrival of people into the Kingdom from many countries. All war comes to an end.

DY 25                    Nations are gathered into the Kingdom. They are given the Word of God and the law. The earth changes into a beautiful Paradise.

DY 45                    He asks the church to pray on behalf of those suffering in exile, and their deliverance.

DY 46                    "Miraculous Deliverance."  The return of David Yesseyevich to his community.

DY 47                    "Prayer concerning the change in life."  Gratitude of DY towards God for his deliverance and return from imprisonment back to his community.

DY 48                    "Prayer in rejoicing."

 

DY 49-56               ANSWER TO THE COMMUNE OF MIKHAIL AKINTYEVICH

 

DY 49                    "Request from friends."  A request for DY to comment on the commune of Mikhail Akintyevich.

DY 50                    "Answer to the request from friends."  The commune established not on Divine precepts, but man-made rules. They divide and set themselves higher than other communities. Competition rather than love prevails.

DY 51                    "To all the brethren."  The people should open their spiritual eyes to see the real situation. They are compared to Israel selecting Saul as King.

DY 52                    "Word to the officials."  Positions and ranks were established for some to receive honor above others. Sincere people and true prophets ignored in giving of positions.

DY 53                    God will rescue His sheep that are taken advantage of and exploited by these rulers and officers.

DY 54                    "To the sheep of Christ."  Their leaders have placed their conceits above the Bible; many do not work; their virtues and charities are recorded in books. The officials of the commune are compared to the Pharisees. Their holiness is only a superficial appearance.

DY 55                    "A Prophecy."  Soon a prophet from God will removed these elected officials, and will replace them with those elected and anointed by God.

DY 56                    "Conclusion."  If communal living is desired, they may continue. But with enmity and strife, they should divide.

 

DY 57                    "To virgins and widows." Counsel for the ministry and communion with God of the unmarried.

 

DY 58-77               RULES OF LIFE. REPENTANCE. SPIRITUAL ENVY. SONGS AND PRAYERS.

 

DY 58                    "Concerning childbirth."  Naming a new born. Period of cleansing for the mother. Prayer for the new-born.

DY 59                    "Concerning Illness."  Confession and prayer for the sick.

DY 60                    "Concerning the Deceased."  Relatives to fulfill prayer services for their deceased.

DY 61                    "Concerning Sins."  Confession, fasting and prayer for the forgiveness of sins.

DY 67                    "Examination of oneself."  Every person should examine himself, and fulfill repentance and conversion. The love of God will envelope him. He will dedicate his life toward charity and church.

DY 68                    "Voice to the Unrepentant."  The unrepentant to face judgement and the lake of fire. They should all be converted to receive the Kingdom and escape judgement.

DY 69                    "The great ability to repent."  Confession of sins to the minister and repentance is followed by the reward of eternal life.

DY 70                    "Concerning spiritual envy."  How envy in a person can disrupt the ministry of the church. The ministers to be strong in faith. The Bible confirmed as the inspired Word of God.

DY 71                    Discussion on various possible problems in the church.

DY 72                    "Article on the Family."  A Bible-based God-fearing family to have domestic success.

DY 73                    "Concerning the twelve friends."

DY 74                    "Prayer for all times: Lord, the omnipotent, all-powerful, all-active."

DY 75                    "Morning and Evening Prayer: Lord our God, bless us this day (or night)..."

MGR 10:19             Emilian and Fitis symbolic of the two witnesses. They proceed unto the world with miracles and rebuke. The beast receives the reports of their activities and angers.

MGR 10:20             The two witnesses seized by the officials of the beast. They die from his attacks. People celebrate at their death.

MGR 11:2               1-5          Israel in Egypt receives the law of God orally generation by generation from the patriarchs.

                              6-9          The law is renewed through the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles on Pentecost.

MGR 11:3               The Spirit from Pentecost has continued to our present era. We are to adhere to that given by the apostles.

MGR 11:4               The resurrection compared to new growth during spring after the death and decay of winter.

MGR 11:5               The skippers and jumpers as the children of God. MGR receives revelation from Christ as to what will occur in heaven and earth. The revelation repeated.

MGR 11:6               MGR sent from God to pronounce judgement on the whore of Babylon - the Orthodox church - for its corruption of Christianity.

MGR 11:7               Not everyone will understand and accept this teaching.

MGR 11:8               MGR rebukes elders for placing two men as head minister and head singer who are not qualified.

MGR 11:9               MGR indicates that these two men were part of the conspiracy to exile him. He nominates Emilian and blesses him to become head minister.

MGR 11:10             Prayer for God to have mercy on the Molokans, and to have their names written in the book of life.

MGR 11:11             Treatise on God in three faces. The Father gave birth to the Son. All is created by Him as the Word. They work in the world and through people in the Holy Spirit.

MGR 11:16             Song - The King of kings on His white steed soars from the heavens to execute judgement on the beast, false-prophet, and their ten kings. The anointed one to be established as king.

MGR 11:17             Song - The Holy Spirit as the faith of the patriarchs, Hebrews, Tatars, prophets and apostles, and the wife and church of Christ.

MGR 11:18             Song - Concerning the prosperity of the beloved city Oblitan in the Kingdom.

MGR 11:19             Song - The true believers as white steeds carry the heavenly warriors to wage war at Armageddon against the enemy.

MGR 11:20             The prosperity of the Kingdom. God's people enter. The population reaches 7 million.

MGR 11:21             Song - Although without physical attraction or stature, MGR receives his election, blessing and anointment from God.

MGR 11:22             A perspective of the Molokan faith. The separation from traditions and rituals; the use of images and monasticism condemned; spiritual interpretation of the communion. Honorable marriage to abide.

MGR 11:23             The seven spirits of God work through His holy people. The antichrist to arise out of Russia, similar to Antiochus IV Epiphanes.

MGR 11:24             Prayer - The Holy Spirit protects, blesses, resurrects, sanctifies and enlightens God's people.

MGR 11:25             The mysteries understood in songs. Every person to be prepared to participate in church services. Poor morals do not belong in the church.

MGR 11:26             The division of people into two groups. Each group to marry within their own calling and family. Divorce a product of the devils influence.

MGR 11:27             The work of man in procreation follows after the pattern of God in His creation. Immorality condemned. Conception the work of God's hands.

MGR 11:28             Married couples to be from the same tribe and calling. God permitted polygamy in the past.

 

MGR 12:1               Couple born at the end of the sixth millennium like Adam and Eve. They will inherit the new creation.

MGR 12:2               As Adam and Eve inherited the Paradise, so the Kingdom will be given to the new Adam and His wife and family.

MGR 12:3               MGR's suffering for many years for the crown of victory. He was born to be a son of God and victor.

MGR 12:4               1-8          People should recall the work of MGR in the community, and again draw near to the Spirit.

                              9-17        The separation of the two groups into the holy children of God and the accursed children of the devil.

MGR 12:5               1-13        God's plan for the separation of kindreds and tribes. Each to marry within his own group. The groups not to inter-mix.

                              14-20      Children of adulterous mixing are cursed.

MGR 12:6               Song about the majesty of God and His benevolence.

MGR 12:7               Immortal people to be born at the end of this age. They will initiate the resurrection and the translation at the beginning of the Kingdom.

MGR 12:8               The various names of the Spirit of the bosom of God.

MGR 12:9               Song about the victor receiving the crown and throne over the Kingdom from the Lord.

MGR 12:10             Interpretation of how a person is a palace of God, with a throne for the King. This person is the third feature.

MGR 12:11             1-3          Dependance of people on representations of the Kingdom and God's presence.

                              4-13        Song about the Spirit as the new enlivening. The land of the living with 144000 resurrected Hebrews sealed with the name of God.

MGR 12:12             Song about the conqueror; his scarlet clothing; his strength; his prophesy; he will conquer at Armageddon.

MGR 12:13             The Kingdom will be newly build on the spot of the battle of Armageddon. The Kingdom prosperity and success described.

MGR 12:14             1-7          The land to be cleansed of sin at the end of this age, just as the world was cleansed by the flood.

                              8-25        The present age only designed to land 6000 years, after the pattern of the week. When the 7th millennium appears, death will vanish. This will be a period of rest for the people of God and a great holiday.

MGR 12:15             This letter to be conveyed to Emilian the prophet. They are to reply to receiving it.

 

MGR 13:1               1-3          The new Messiah is the builder of the wall of the Kingdom.

                              4-11        Nikitino is compared to the Paradise. The mystery opened to MGR as it was to Solomon. MGR at Suzdal.

MGR 13:2               MGR describes his new name. He is in Spirit the anointed pillar, the gates of Zion, the heavenly staircase, the white steed.

MGR 13:3               MGR will not fail in his election as king and prophet. He will lead the people into the Kingdom; the Kingdom compared to Solomon's.

MGR 13:8               The conspiracy against MGR described. All of them must answer to God for this sin.

MGR 13:9               Emilian and Fitis fail in guarding the Paradise from the influence of satan. MGR rebukes them.

MGR 13:10             Union with God's spirit more valuable than worldly treasures and success. The family of God to prosper in the Kingdom.

MGR 13:11             The writer of the prayerbook is the Word of God, conqueror of the beast, the supreme Spirit of the bosom of God. MGR is servant unto Him.

MGR 14:2               18 sections dealing with the election of seven new queens, all with new names, who will continue to represent the seven churches in holiness.

MGR 14:3               A brief history of the success and betrayal of the seven queens. They abandon the truth of the Holy Spirit.

MGR 14:4               The old queens to accept lesser positions, and with lesser names. The blasphemers of the Spirit at the church who aided and led the apostasy to be sternly dealt with.

MGR 14:5               Marriage among humans and mating among the animals a blessing of God. Adultery and celibacy condemned.

MGR 14:6               I-IV        Four songs and prayers dealing with marital relations.

                              V            Marriage requires a special attitude for relations; the holiness of conception.

MGR 14:7               1-3          The prosperity of the Kingdom.

                              4-9          The prayerbook gives light and warmth as the sun in the sky lights and warms the earth.

                              10-16      The book written by the Spirit of God. Those that reject it will be banished from the Kingdom.

MGR 14:8               1-23        Song about the community compared to a garden planted by the Lord, watered and cultivated; but then produces no fruit, only weeds. The community deserted the true Spirit and now must face judgement.

                              24-33      MGR weeps over their spiritual adultery and the deprivation of Paradise. The Holy Spirit as the ladder reaching to heaven.

MGR 14:9               1-6          The Kingdom made of the steadfast believers in the Spirit of prophesy.

                              7-20        List of items that will occur at the end of this age and beginning of new age: Esau to be subject to Jacob, the two witnesses, imprisonment of the devil; chosen people gathered to reign.  The living faith is immortal.

MGR 14:10             MGR describes his new name, with which he will never die. Enoch an example of immortality. The resurrected bodies of Mary the mother of Jesus and the Apostle John are in heaven.

MGR 14:11             The annihilation of Babylon from the face of the earth. Zion to prosper for 1000 years. A second transfiguration into the eternal Kingdom. The descent of the new Jerusalem.

MGR 14:12             The suffering of MGR in prison. Describes the resurrection and translation. Prayers transcend the clouds and reach heaven.

MGR 14:13             1-11        The people of God to survive Armageddon, as Noah and his family survived the flood in the ark. The next judgement by fire. False-religion to be destroyed.

                              12-21      Chosen people to inherit the world. Animal nature to change. All immoral people to perish. Kingdom a time of prosperity.
