This is great for spinners or for those of you (like me), who go into a yarn store and find the perfect yarn that's JUST the wrong size for the pattern.
Wimple and Hood Pattern
This wimple and hood pattern are designed to be knit in any weight yarn. I've personally made this up in chunky weight, and lace weight (at 12 stitches to the inch), and every weight in between, and it fits every time!
This a relatively fast and easy pattern, and makes great Christmas presents!! I've made so many of these for friends that I had to make some more to take a photo!
Either of these will replace a sweater (I know, I didn't believe it either until I tried it) or double the warmth of a coat or jacket.
My granddaughter says that every time she wears one of her wimples someone tries to buy it from her.
The pattern is $6.00 plus $1.50 Shipping and Handling.
Easy Triangular Shawl
This shawl is a perfect second (or even first) project for a beginner in any weight yarn!
The instructions are written specifically with a new knitter in mind, and cover all the basic things that the knitting manuals and your friends forget to tell you because they're SO basic.
For the more accomplished knitter, this is a great "mindless" take-along pattern that will keep your hands busy without a lot of attention.
For both beginners and pros, the creative aspects of this pattern are literally limitless, and every time I go into a yarn store, I find two or more yarns that I'd just LOVE to turn into a shawl. These are also great for using up your stash! You can make it in stripes, with a border (as shown) or just a solid color.
Although this requires more actual yardage, it works up very fast.
The pattern is $6.00 plus $1.50 Shipping and Handling.
Coming Soon! Mitts!
Ever saw a really neat pattern for mitts, made them, wore them a couple of times, and then just didn't want to wear them anymore? This pattern will show you what went wrong and how to make it right.
Includes long, short, and easy mitts. They are ambidexterous, so I always make three, so that when I lose one, I still have a pair.
All of these mitts allow enough freedom to type while wearing them! And, as always, you can use any weight yarn (within reason--really bulky yarn will be too clumsy for mitts).
I expect the pattern to be ready and printed at the beginning of the new year, so there is a special, buy-now price of $5.00, with the usual $1.50 shipping and handling for the first pattern, or $.50 additional if you're ordering more than one.
