C O M E to my universe, a realm for thought, beauty
and wonder.
The rivers of philosophy, religion, history, art and personal insight meet in
here creating a dialogue that reflects the mystery of our humanity.
All of what is human concerns me deeply.
I am Hugo, a writer born and resident in the old City of Mexico, place of
encounter among millenary cultural heritages and modernity: center of a country
even richer and more diverse, in which different civilizations meet and speak to
each other in an intent of understanding each other without always succeeding.
Here, men's expressions interweave through time: of some who search for the
past or remind us of its presence, and of others who seek the future with hope,
joining in a present which is constantly in the making.
In this region, as perhaps in others as well, word came to us as air, sounds full of meaning, expressions of the symbols that filled the world of the ancients. Later on, it became painting and sculpture, glyphs that filled the spaces of our old manuscripts and of the architectonic spaces that we created throughout centuries. Finally, alphabets reached us, full of signs made into construction stones. Our tongues expressed themselves in all these ways; word, one and multiple, has remained in this universe of forms. All this is our heritage.
My
wish is for you, interested reader, to share into the views expressed in my
works and take part in my creative processes in whichever way you would like to
participate.
My universe is of a dynamic nature, it changes faces or at least some angles of
it periodically, but always in constant expression of what is permanent and in
continuing search of our humanity.
Here you will find many many expressions of thought and aesthetics, as well as the things that inspire me to create, such as travels, nature, literary works or cultural aspects or of other civilizations. I hope you like what you find in this place and that you feel it as a home. Of course, contributions are always welcome, as well as opinions and comments on the pieces posted here. Contributions will be posted with the corresponding credits and anyone is welcome to comment on them. As this is a place of free speech and sharing, this shall be done with all due respect and fraternal appreciation.
