Adrian  Pintea

Adrian Pintea was born in Romania, on October 9 1954.
In 1979 he graduated the Institute of Theatral and Cinematographic Art "I.L. Caragiale", Bucharest, at professor’s Petre Vasilescu class.
As a member of the Romanian American Theatre, Adrian Pintea challenged audiences with his own productions of plays in the English language. His film appearances continued during the period when the Romanian film industry was dormant, with overseas directors recognizing his talent and casting him in their productions. 

In 1978, Adrian Pintea received the First Prize for Best Actor at Edinburgh Festival, Great Britain, for the role of Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet" W.Shakespeare, directed by Cătălina Buzoianu.

In 1998, Adrian Pintea received the Critics'Award for Best Actor. He also received the Cultural Merit Order medal, in the rank of Comandor. 

Adrian Pintea is always available to consider appropriate roles in film, theatre and television as well as teaching and lecturing assignments. He is currently working on a number of projects which will allow audiences both in Romania and Western Europe to experience the performances of this uniquely creative artist.
