A Brief History

I was born in Jackson, MI at 6:45AM on July 6, 1979, in Foote Hospital. I don't know all the gruesome details, just that I was born there around 6:45AM. Who really knows any of that stuff anyways? Definately not us cool people!

Anyways, in the winter of '80, we moved to Grand Rapids, MI where I've lived the majority of my life.

I went to a public school, but never graduated. In second grade, my parents and teacher had to sit down with me and discuss how they could motivate me to do my homework. We decided it was about time for me to get a new bike!

So, third grade rolled around and I ran away from school. In fourth grade, I threatened to stab my teacher in the heart with a pencil. That didn't go over too well, but hey, I got out of school for a few days!

In fifth grade, I "slapped" a teacher. She kept trying to hold me back. I told her to let go and she wouldn't, so I brushed her hand off my shoulder. It's not my fault she poker herself in the eye with the pencil she was holding, is it?

Then in middle school, I was in and out of trouble from day one. I really don't remember much of it, because I was in and out of detention and out-of-school suspension so much. I do remember there was talk of holding me back, but they never did. I think they thought it would do more damage than help me out.

High school rolled around, and that was even worse than middle school. I don't think there were many weeks which went by to which I was not in some form of detention. Freshman year I got kicked off the bus for spitting out of the window and then calling the bus driver a cunt, fat bitch and I'm sure there was more.

I ended up failing my sophomore year two years in a row! That wasn't fun, but despite popular belief, it's not hard! I had a belief that school was like a job. When you get out of a job, you go home and forget about work. Well, that didn't work too well with school. I never did any of my homework, and I slept for about four to five hours during school. At that rate, who wouldn't fail?

During my third sophomore year, I was in the Media Center, just messin' around on the computers. I had some past things that happened in that library with the computers, and everyone knew me at that school anyways. I was the troublemaker. All the teachers knew who I was by the first day of class, because my counselors would warn them about what I was capable of. The cards were stacked against me from the start. So, there I was in the library pulling up this Paintbrush file, when who should walk by? The Head Principle.

Needless to say, I got suspended for three days for opening a file. They had no proof I put it on there. Nothing! So, no matter how much I tried to fight the accusation(even though I did put it on there, but that's besides the point, they had no proof!), I lost. So, I quit. I went back when my suspension was up, bright and early in the morning, cleaned out my locker, went to the office, threw my books on the counter and told them I dropped out. You should have seen the look on their faces!

I ended up working quite a few different jobs, tried going back to school, but I just didn't want to go. I ended up getting my G.E.D. in '01 and decided to try college.

College didn't really work either. I went to a small Christian college in Manhattan, KS in the fall of '01. I had wanted to be a Youth Pastor. Yeah, that didn't happen. I loved the area. It was a small town, but big because Kansas State University was right across the street. However, there were so many rules. Being 22, I couldn't handle people telling me I wasn't allowed to go to a bar or I couldn't go to a club. Hell, I love to drink. A beer tastes good after a long week, everyone knows that!

So, after three months, I dropped out and came back home. This is where I've been since, working jobs here and there, but spending the majority of the two years I've been back unemployed. Oh well, life goes on.
