A Little About The Man Behind The Paintings.

Tom J. Whitaker grew up in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. "I am very thankful for my Mountain Heritage and extremely proud of our mountain ways here,"says Tom.
Whitaker presently teaches art at Prestonsburg Community College. He has exhibited, taught many workshops, and juried many shows across several states. "I am pleased with where I am in my career," says Tom, "but have much farther to go." Whitaker's originals and prints are collected near and far. Whitaker has recently taken more commissions than in the past. This is a result of more confidence within the artist and respect from the patron.
Tom J. Whitaker's paintings reflect the experiences of a person who has spent a lifetime searching and painting subjects that can make us all feel more alive.
