How long has Visions: Vivid Imagery
been in business?
Six years. Visions: Vivid Imagery was launched by Joseph Lawrence
Vasile on Saturday, September 14, 1996, at the Roxy nightclub
in New York City. Vasile wanted a platform where he could not
only create art and exhibit the work, but also to expand his reach
within the community. Since then, Vasile has been able to create
a network of supporters including some of today's hottest celebrities
from the worlds of music, fashion, television, and film.

What is your artistic style?
Vasile has been called "the next Andy Warhol" by the
media. Most frequently Vasile created pop art, but his style is
diversified. He has created all kinds of work and doesn't really
follow the laws of style. Basically he creates his own style for
each peice of work.

What is pop art?
Pop Art is a 20th century art movement that utilized the imagery
and techniques of consumerism and popular culture. Pop art developed
in the late1950's as a reaction against Abstract Expressionism
and flourished in the sixties and early seventies. Pop Art favored
figural imagery and the reproduction of everyday objects, such
as Andy Warhol's Campbell Soup cans, Roy Lichtenstein's comic
strips and advertisements.

What's your favorite recipe?
Funny you should ask that. Actually I've been a vegitarian
since I was a child. I absolutely love a good eggplant parm sandwich!
Second to that, my mother makes a great stuffed mushroom and baked
artichoke. Yummy! But if you have a good recipe, send it to me.
I'd love to try it!

Where does your inspiration for your
work come from?
This is a difficult question to answer in one paragraph.
My inspiration has always come from different sources. My main
inspiration comes from life experiences. Family, friends, and
the world around me has always provided a great source of inspiration
for me both in my art work and all of my personal endevors. The
world can be a beautiful place, but it can also be a very ugly
place. I draw from all of these things and also beleive in taking
a negative and turning it into a positive.
