Born in Brisbane Australia, Karen started drawing at a young age and continued to enjoy different mediums through her school years.
A love of animals and nature led her to concentrate on wildlife and she became an exhibiting member of the QLD Wildlife Artists Society, selling works and winning awards in exhibitions throughout Brisbane.
Although Karens preference is for watercolours and pastels, she is adept at handling most tasks, such as an oil painted fridge commissioned as a raffle prize.
Her current focus is on capturing people and their pets in portraits for everyone to enjoy.
