How to Send Items in for Repair

BEFORE SENDING ANY ITEM TO US

ALL PACKAGES  RECEIVED WITHOUT OUR AUTHORIZATION NUMBER CLEARLY MARKED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CARTON
WILL BE REFUSED WITHOUT EXCEPTION

We recommend using UPS or Federal Express when sending items in for repair. Use a strong, new carton with at least 6" of space between any edge of the carton and the product you are sending . Many areas have packaging stores such as The UPS store, Staples, The Packaging Store, etc... These places usually do a very good job of packing and are the best way to send repair items. If you pack and ship yourself look over this list:

  • Wrap the unit with bubble wrap (at least 3") to prevent small particles of loose material from getting into the unit and to protect from shock.
  • Be sure the unit is secure in the box and it does not slide around inside the carton.
  • Double box the unit
  • Always insure the item you are sending in.
  • Supply us with description of the problem you are having with the unit and daytime telephone number so we can contact you.  No advance payment is required. Please include a return address, preferably one where someone will be home during the day or your place of employment.  All repairs are returned prepaid with MC/Visa, AMEX, Discover or in advance with money order or check. Please note that we carefully pack and insure all outgoing repairs. The customer and customers shipping agent is responsible for any damage that happens to items in transit  to our shop. Please pack all units carefully.
  • Please carefully pack and include all tubes unless you wish your unit to be re-tubed. If you are going to use your tubes we need to test the equipment with the tubes you are using .

NOTE: CD PLAYERS AND TRANSPORTS MAY BE SHIPPED IN BUT MUST BE PICKED UP AT OUR COUNTER
AS THRE IS TOO GREAT A CHANCE THAT THEY WILL BE DAMAGED IN TRANSIT IF SHIPPED
