We repair and restore all vintage Pioneer equipment. Most popular is the receiver line of the 70's - the famous "SX" series. We usually resolder all circuit boards, replace audio coupling caps, clean all switches, controls and relays, replace known troublesome parts, replace dial lamps, reset amp bias and realign the tuner section. We have repaired many of these units      and are aware quite a few specific problems and repair options, too many to list at this time. Please contact us as to specific questions. The price range on repair / overhaul on this series usually runs from $175-375.00  As a example, the higher price would be for the SX-1250 /1280, the lower for a SX-626.

We also service the Integrated amp line, the 'SA' series, with repair outline and prices in line with the receiver series.

We are quite familiar with the big amp series m M-22, 72, 90 and the high end Spec 2 and Spec 4. There are some upgrade options for these and we have researched replacement transistors that work very well in these circuits, the original parts being discontinued for some time.

The modern pioneer line is very variable in quality-the Elite series and the higher price consumer line products are quite good, most of the less expensive gear is of very  poor quality and  really is in the realm of disposable product. We do not repair any Pioneer CD/Laser disc equipment. Pioneer AV/Home theatre products are best returned to Pioneer for service.
