MATCHLESS AMP REPAIR

Most of the repairs we do on Matchless amps have involved routine problems such as wires coming off loose controls, tube replacement, burnt resistors due to tube failure. These are very well made hand wired amps and generally tend to be very sturdy road worthy units. In the past few months we have seen a early production units come in with shorted or dried out filter caps, but this is not all that unusual in 20 year old amps, taking into consideration the quality of caps made today. About the only "upgrade" we do on these are part value upgrades on a few resistors that tend to run a bit hot and look cooked on examination.
