We repair all Golden tube audio  products. Of excellent design, these units suffered from poor quality components, especially nearing end of production,and erratic quality control: There are many repair and upgrade alternatives  with these units so please feel free to call or e-mail for more detailed information. Some specific items are listed below:

SE-40:
Channel drops out, one channel dead, no audio, no green light:
Caused by defective plate supply resistors, filament rectifier for 6SN7's There are two alternative repairs for this model:
Repair / Upgrade (simple):
 We replace the screen resistors with metal-oxide power types and upgrade the bridge rectifier. cost 175.00

Full upgrade:
Replace all resistors with Metal-Oxide power types , Upgrade all rectifiers with fast recovery types, correct any wiring defects that are common to these units. Cost 275.00. As these sets used good quality caps we do not usually replace them, but a premium cap upgrade is available for an additional 125.00

SI-50:
Some poor quality resistors, bad soldering, undervalued rectifiers.
Standard repair/upgrade 175.00, full upgrade (similar) to  SE-40 above 275.00.

SE-100  to SE-845:
Usually had better grade parts, but near the end of production were made with some really bad components. Usually just a few bad resistors in set, with rest of  high quality. We usually just go through and upgrade what is of poor quality and leave the rest. Cost range 175-225.00 depending on extent of parts involved. Caps were good quality, really no advantage in upgrade.

IMPORTANT: WE CANNOT SUPPLY ANY PARTS FOR GT PRODUCTS. WE RECEIVE MANY REQUESTS
FOR OUTPUT/POWER TRANSFORMERS and SI-50 IC's. WE HAVE NO SOURCE FOR THESE PARTS AS THERE IS NO CURRENT PRODUCTION ON THESE ITEMS
