EICO amps are some of my favorite "oldie" products. They have very high quality output transformers and can produce excellent results within their power range. The power amp stage can be separated from the preamp in the integrated units and is quite neutral and open sounding.

The preamp sections have many ceramic caps which give it a real "vintage" sound. We usually  leave the ceramic caps in the tone control sections so as to not radically alter the sound quality. Replacement with high quality modern caps will improve sound quality in audiophile terms, but this option is left to the customer to decide.  These units were made with very cheap passive passive components, so we usually replace all carbon resistors , paper caps and filter caps. These are nice amps, always a surprise as to how pleasing and musical they sound.
Full restoration will run from about 200.00 to 375.00, depending on model and extent of service required.
