The most common Cambridge products we repair are the integrated amplifiers in the "A" and "P" lines, as well as the "A" series power amps. These are usually done as repair/overhaul items but many respond well to rather extensive component upgrades such as UltraFast rectifiers, cap upgrade, and additional filter and bypass work. Cambridge did a excellent job of producing a fine sounding CD player at a reasonable price but stopped short of making it as good as it could be . Our upgrade consists of dual HexFred power supply, upgraded caps, additional filter and bypass components, Burr-Brown Select op amps and additional vibration damping, The cost is 175.00 to 250.00 and the result is lower noise floor and additional depth and detail without harshness. This is This item must be picked up over out service counter, there have been too may mishaps when CD players are shipped after repair.

Cambridge Audio CD players are my personal choice for a great sounding reliable CD player. I recommend these whenever a customer has a CD player unrepairable for any reason.
