ARCAM REPAIR INFORMATION

Arcam integrated amplifiers and preamps are of good design but have problems with build quality. Switches become unsoldered from PC boards, bad connections . Usually these only need resoldering and some power supply repair.

Arcam power amps are known for bad solder connections where the output devices break away from the circuit board. Usually resoldering cures most problems with these items.

Most repairs on ARCAM units will run between 125.00 to 175.00, parts and labor. Some extensive upgrades are available, please contact us.

Our most common Arcam repair items are the ALPHA series of CD player. They develop a problem of skipping and mistracking CD's. The solution is replacement of the laser pickup and CD drive motor. In addition we add some vibration damping material to the chassis of the unit.  As the same transport is used in the entire series the price for all units is 175.00, parts and labor. We regret that any of these units received for service cannot be shipped and must be pickup at our service counter. They are fragile and cannot withstand shipping.
