We repair most
Accuphase products-There are parts availability issues with some
models, so please get in contact with us before sending your unit
in for repair.
By far the most common Accuphase unit we repair is the P-300
Kensonic power amp from the 70's.
This unit
develops problems of long turn on time, noise, audio dropout etc.
If the unit is showing these symptoms but still basically functional
it will require a standard overhaul to restore it. We replace all
electrolytic caps on the driver, power supply and protection boards,
completely resolder all connections, clean all plug in card
connectors and go over the bias, gain and offset adjustments. the
cost of the service is 375.00
The "E" series of integrated amps and "C" series preamps are also
items we see often, these usually need similar service as most
vintage equipment of this age, no real serious problems as to parts
or service procedures. A cost range of 250-275.00 is common to both
series.
A common annoyance with all older Accuphase products is the
undersized ad difficult to replace ac power cord setup. We can
retrofit a heavy duty IEC receptacle and power cord for an
additional 38.00 on any unit in for repair.
Most of the newer Accuphase equipment holds up well, with only power
supply or output stage failure. As the equipment is built to a very
high standard, we do not advise any component upgrades except
replacing power supply resistors with higher wattage types if they
fail.
