New Rastor layer

Using your draw tool, foreground color black, background color null,

with these settings

freehand

width 2

draw a curvy line around the ears like in the picture below.

then go to effects, blur, soften,

Add new layer and

using your draw tool again, I changed the width to 1

Draw a mouth on your bear.

Now at this point I merged visible all the layers of the bear and added some shading

Using your retouch tool,

Add some shading to your bear.

I used the lighten and darken RBG settings..

You can use my settings below.

I also used my smudge tool and used it along the edge of the bear to make it more fuzzy, this is optional.. I liked it that way.

This is about what you have so far.

Now its time to work on the candy Cane. Were almost done..

New layer name is candy cane

Selection load from disk 8white cane

selections modify expand 1 pixel

Flood fill with white.

Same layer load from disk 9red cane

Selections modify contract 1

Flood fill with #880808

or color of choice

deselect

Go to selections select all, selections float

effects 3d effects inner bevel

I used these settings below.

Do not deselect

change your foreground color to white and set your airbrush at the following

then add new rastor layer and using your airbrush draw a line in the middle of the candy cane

then go to effects blur apply a gaussion blur of 4.00.

Deselect.

Now you can select your candy cane layer and add a drop shadow if you like.

I used these settings

H-0

Opacity-60

blur- 10

Color - black

Now new layer

load from disk 10left hand

go to selections modify expand by 2

selections invert

apply drop shadow

change opacity to 30, and the blur to 15 color #4B3423

deselect

You may need to move your bears hand down a bit with your mover tool You may also need to do some shading and some smudging if you did like I did and made him fuzzy.

Then I merged visible the layers and moved it to the center of the canvas..

Now add a Hanger.

New layer

Change your foreground color to White.

Preset Shapes tool set on Elipse

At these settings

Draw an ellipse like so

Go to selections select all, selections, float.

Now you can add an inner bevel to this

I ended up flood filling it to the red we used for the candy cane and used the inner bevel pillow preset.

Select none,

Move this above over your bears head and go to layers arrange send to bottom

Thats basically it, I decorated my bear a little, but this is optional..

Merge layers and export as a tube, and you have a cute lil ornament
