director - tom rowland

       Tom Rowland is a first-time director at Ridgedale Players but is no stranger to the stage.  He began his career as "Robin Hood" in the Popcorn Players production in Birmingham.  He later  riprised the role for The Waterford Youtheatre in Waterford as well as numerous other roles including Laertes in "Hamlet." 

At Waterford Mott he starred in "The Big Lebowski" as the Dude, Professor Pickering in "My Fair Lady," Rick Blaine in "Casablanca" and Directed and starred in "The Fifth Column" by Ernest Hemmingway. 

At Schoolcraft College he appeared as Leonardo in "The Merchant of Venice." 

At Ridgedale he has appeared in "The Taming of the Shrew," "As You Like It," and "The Tempest." 

He attends Oakland University and is employed as a manager at Barnes and Nobles Bookstore where he produced a promotional video which received national attention.  He is presently completing the editing of a short fictional film entitled "Weatherball."
