that the Creator of All Things has Commanded--i.e.,
covering;
it is better to wear more garments, than not enough.
Also, as
you know, all designs can be made in
solid dark or light colored
fabrics.
Consider also wool, knits, cashmere,
corduroy, silk, challis,
and other natural fabrics
for the traditional cotton designs.
