About 2000 years ago, the Natives realized they could kill more buffalo if they tricked them and chased them over the cliffs in southern Alberta. They ended up with enough meat to feed the tribe for the winter. Any buffalo that weren't killed when theyfell were quickly killed as the Natives believed they would run and tell other buffalos of the trick and they would never return.
