Chastain Mist Summer Riding Camp is having a raffle as a way to support The Spotlite Foundation, a horse/pony rescue and under privileged rider sponsorship. Since Summer of 2004 we have rescued many ponies but there are many more that need our care. When we obtained the ponies, they had not received immunizations, hoof care, proper feed/ shelter, deworming, etc. All of the mares had been left to run with a stallion so were rebred within days of giving birth. Their coats were matted, hooves long and curling, and they were completely wild. The foals were weak and ill. Now, after months of care and training, they are happy, healthy ponies. With your help we can offer the opportunity of a good home to more neglected ponies.
The Spotlite Foundation works in conjunction with Chastain Mist Riding Academy to provide sponsorship for outstanding young people who need financial assistance in the pursuit of equestrian mastery. Riders sponsored are those with a positive attitude who display a desire to work hard to achieve their dreams but are unable to afford riding lessons. In addition to maintaining a dedication to the sport, each rider must maintain school performance standards set by The Spotlite Foundation.
Raffle Details:
Tickets are $5.00 each. You may purchase as many tickets as you wish. Tickets may be purchased using the paypal link below. Once you have purchased a ticket, you will receive an email confirming the purchase. Our raffle coordinators will print your ticket to be entered into the drawing which will be held at 7:30pm on January 1, 2005. Winners will be notified via email and then by telephone. Please enter your telephone number in the note section of your paypal transaction. You need not be a member to use paypal. The only requirement is a valid email address.
Proceeds Breakdown:
- 40% Horse & Pony Hay/Grain/Treats, Medications, Blankets, Tack, Veterinarian Care, Farrier Care, Property Rental, Wormers, Etc.
- 30% Lesson/ Camp Program for Sponsored Riders
- 20% Maintenance of Spotlite Foundation's Lesson Horses
- 10% Farm Maintenance
Prize details- If prizes are unable to be picked up, arrangements can be made for UPS delivery for the price of shipment. Saddles do not include fittings. Saddles in photo are actual saddles to be won. Saddles are 17" in size, other sizes are available.
