"Who's Up First?"

"Who's Up First" is the third in a series for the "Windows on Baseball" exhibition held in the summer of 2006 in Pittsfield, MA. It brings back memories of my childhood days when the batting team was determined by hands on the bat - whoever put their hand, or fingers, or finger, just below the knob of the bat so that the opposing player couldn't fit another finger in, was given the choice of batting first or last. The painting is 16" x 12" and is in a private collection.
