"Red Wine"

"Red Wine" was finished on February 21, 2006. It is a 20" x 16" canvas. It seems repetitious in theme and one might think I'm fixated on wine! I don't even drink wine except for the occasional Lambrusco with Italian food or red meat. I think it's the shape of the bottles and glasses, and the desire to paint them realistically that captures my attention for these subjects. They are also good subjects for interplay of light and dark shadows. "Red Wine" is in a private collection.
