This painting is a re-work of one called "Morning's Prelude," a 16" x 20" piece done in 1987 as a study for the painting, "Morning." It was very grey in color, almost to the point of monotone; I felt the need to bring out more light and dark play in the painting and have been working on it little by little for some time. The result is somewhat more of a Thomas Kincaid look than I was intending but nonetheless it has achieved some of my goal of portrayal of light in a New England setting just after a snowfall. The painting is framed with an old hand-made frame which compliments the snow scene. It is for sale for $300.
