This painting is rather more romantic than most of my other work but there's nothing wrong with a little romance! I had read how it was very difficult to use alot of red in a painting effectively, as in John Singer Sargent's "Dr. Pozzi," and this was my first (and only, so far!) attempt at it. It is owned by Susan Stack of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
