"Mt. Hope Park"

"Mt. Hope Park" is a 30" x 40" oil on canvas, finished on September 17, 2007. The pool below Hopper Bridge in Williamstown, MA. has been a favorite spot for bathers for years. I have spent many an hour fishing in this beautiful place and have contemplated this painting for a long, long time. Having photographed it extensively earlier this summer, I finally embarked upon the project and carried it to completion. The area is on the Green River and is part of "Mt. Hope Park." The painting is in a private collection.
