"Spruce Hill"

"Spruce Hill" is an 11" x 14" oil on gessoboard that was finished on July 18, 2007. Spruce Hill was a place that my friends and I would frequent when we were younger. It's located near the Adams (MA) - Savoy town line and was a beautiful spot that was cleared farm land over 100 years ago. Though all grown in now, the area has many old stone walls and cellar holes, evidence of a time when the land was far more cleared for farming than it is now. The painting is in the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dickerson of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
