Painting #13

"Earl Scruggs"

This painting is the earliest of the works on this website. It is done with acrylics on birch plywood and measures 24" x 37". The painting was done in 1983 as a tribute to Earl Scruggs, unquestionably the father of Bluegrass Banjo. It is unframed by design and was painted before I acquired the habit of writing the title on the work. The painting is in the collection of Alex Fischer, an extremely fine photographer from Amherst, Ma.
