"Getting Ready"

This painting is a 16" x 12" oil on canvasboard that was completed on January 24, 2007. I have always admired the ballet dancers of Degas and I attempted this painting to do that subject but moreso to try to capture a good interplay of light and dark. "Getting Ready" may prove to represent a shift in style for my work. This painting is in a private collection.
