David is 26 years old and is a junior at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, where he is studying Enviromental Geology. David is third in command on the stock team at Old Navy.

Mindy is 23 years old and is a junior at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, where she is pursueing East Asian Studies with a focus in Japan/Japanese and a stong second in China/Chinese. Mindy works at Floral Expressions as a floral clerk and processor, and is currently working on getting reclassified as a designer.

David and Mindy met in 1996 at a high school speech contest in Iowa, where the two grew up.
In May of 1999, Mindy moved to Alaska to finish college, David joined her a month later.
The two happily live togeather in Anchorage with their two cats, Sabana and Meeko, and roomate Paul.
