Henry Espera,
Punong Guro at
Nagtatag ( Chief/Master Instructor and Founder ) of Rapido Realismo was
born in Barrio Tagdon, Barcelona, Sorsogon, Bicol Region, Philippines on December 1,
1953. The fourth of thirteen children to the couple Ramon Espera and
Encarnacion Evasco.
Henry Espera is a Master of his own fighting system. An
Innovator, Leader, and a Humble teacher. He was known as loving and caring
person not only to his student, friends, and family but as well as to other.
He doesn't belong to any known organization, he was not a famous like most
FMA's master in western country. He was a non commercial low profile
teacher who love to teach and share his knowledge and wisdom to anyone who
like his system of martial arts.
In Filipino culture, the only way you can proclaim that you
are a master of FMA's are by letting other master proclaim your title
through your skills, knowledge, and wisdom. An ordinary, traditional, old
master doesn't held any Ranking system but rather they rely on skills and
knowledge progression through training and actual match. He was fortunate
that he belongs to those system of ranking and method of imparting knowledge
and appointing. he was recognized as master not only by his three mentor but
also with other FMA master, considered as an expert both in weaponry and
empty hand. d.
Master Espera owe his Filipino martial arts background from
his three great mentor are: GM Antonio Ilustrisimo of Kali
Ilustrisimo, Master Andrew " Andy " Abrian of Orabes
Heneral Eskrima, and Master Juan ( sorry that master espera
forgot the last name of this maestro ) of Automatic Arnis. He
based his weaponry system from the best of these system.
He complement's his fighting system by researching and
formulating his own method of hand to hand fighting. He gathered principles
and theory, then created his technique arsenal which is too much unique to
him because of his unique method of execution. Integrating Kali/Arnis empty
hand movement's, Boxing (Suntukan), Trapping (Tapik-Patibungan), Kicking (Sipaan),
Grappling and Wrestling (Buno) system which he either formulated or based
from other existing martial arts system.
