We came up with an idea about doing some sort of ceramic raku fired dream catcher. We
called our son who was in Japan and asked him to translate "Dreamcatcher"! The closest
translation that he could come up with was, Yume, "you may"!
Yume means several different things. Wish, hope, desire, prayer could all be yume.
With your yume pot, you write your dream down on a piece of paper and insert it into the
copper tubes that hang from the lid. The chiming that the tubes make when the Yume pot
is shaken call the Gods the grant your wish and chase away evil spirits! |
