My family

[Image] The photos in this page were taken on last Mother's Day (March 21st).

It was such a wonderful day...it reminded me of what are my priorities in life

and that many other things will just have to be left to yesterday.

My husband and children did every thing to make it perfect and full of love.

Breakfast in bed and the most delicious dinner that my husband cooked with the children's sort of asistance, Chilean Sauvignon, and a dessert with "extra thick double cream", at the table surrounded by the ones who love me most. All happy and full of smiles.

What else should I ever need?

They also gave me a wonderful present that I will comment on another time.

So, I decided to put these images here and immortalise what they represent for all virtual eternity.

About my husband:

What can I say about him that could express how much he means to me? He is the only person who has given himself to me completely. He has encouraged me, supported me and motivated me in all my adventures, work, studies, and wild ideas. More important than anything, he was willing to become the father of my eldest daughter and has played the role quite proudly and lovingly from the very beginning.

He shows his love to me in every thing he does. He loves me despite my Latin temperament, my biggest mistakes, and my terrible PMS.

I sometimes notice he is watching me...each one of my moves.... When I look at him, all I see in his eyes is pure love towards me... He shows it to me in every way that a woman would ever need.

He likes "Real Ale".

About my children:

[Image] Fernanda : She is 18 and we are so very proud of her. She is funny, intelligent, hard worker and an

excellent student.  She works in a nursing home on week-ends (disable elderly people) in order

to save money for her travel abroad during her gap year before going to university.

She wants to go to Chile and Brazil.

She has already done quiet a bit of travelling  (Denmark, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland,

Thailand and Malaysia) with her school and Guides Group. For most of them she was selected

after a long time of preparation.

[Image] Charlotte: Nine years old and all the characteristics of a middle child. She too, is an excellent student, very courteous

and caring. She looks up to her sister and is always seeking her advice. She is extremely protective with her brother and

wants to know about everything. She is my companion and helper and says she justs wants "to be with mummy".

She is having violin lessons and is part of the choir and drama group at school.

( I was asked by the Headteacher, to make 5 monk costumes for the outlaws in the forcoming "Robin Hood" production.)

[Image] Conrad: My little boy will be 4 years old in July. He came to us as a surprise, but we always

knew we should be having him. He is of course, the favourite in the household and his sisters

adore him.

He likes dinosaurs, trains and airplanes.

He is very good and only cries when something terrible happens (lego bricks don't stick together, etc.)

He is here at our dining table waiting for Mother's Day dinner.

Our house:

We moved a year and a half ago, to the south-east coast. Our new house is not new at all. It is 97 years old (Edwardian terraced house) and I just love it!! (for some reason I like old things). It has been extended and redone by previous owners.

Ground floor: Living-room (always tidy in case anybody shows up unexpectedly. Remember I have young children! ) Real fireplace (fantastic at Christmas!!)

Dining-room (used on Sundays, formal gatherings and special holidays) Open fireplace as well

Family room (living-room/dining-room/tv-room) half of it occupies what used to be the "scullery". Every thing happens in this room, I even do the ironing in there.                             Next to the kitchen, so that I can keep my eyes on Conrad while he plays.

First floor:     Ch'.s bedroom; bathroom; C's bedroom; our bedroom and very small study/computer-room/sewing-room/assorted hobbies-room.

Second floor:  Guest's room and F's bedroom (ensuite).

Garden : Very small back garden that we made bigger by having the garage demolished. (We got 2 small sheds instead). Big gate to the back alley where our rubbish is collected       every Friday morning and our coal is delivered for our lovely open fire in our "formal living-room".
