General Information
Rules for Borrowing Library Items
- A maximum of three (3) items may be borrowed at one time. Items may include books,
magazines, videotapes and pattern packets.
- When borrowing an item, members are required to remove the card from the item,
print their name and month/year and leave the card with the librarian.
- When returning an item, members are required to give it back to the Librarian who will check it back in.
- Items are to be returned at the following meeting and extensions are not permitted to allow as many members as possible to borrow the item since
there are only eight meetings when the library is actual available.
- If the member is not at meeting, then arrangements should be made with another member to return the library item(s). If there are extenuating
circumstances please notify the librarian.
- The fine for overdue items is $2.00 per month per item borrowed.
- Members may reserve an item through the Librarian.
Policy on Overdue Library Items
- After one month, if item is not returned, the Librarian calls the member to inform that item is overdue
and a fine of $2.00 is owing per item.
- After two months, if item is not returned, the Librarian sends a letter or calls the member reminding them the
item is overdue and that a fine of $4.00 per item is owing and if the fine is not paid by the next meeting, library privileges may be suspended.
- After three months, if items is not returned the Secretary, upon approval by the Board of Directors,
sends a final notice letter informing the member:
- the fine is now $6.00 per item is owing;
- library privileges have been suspended for the remainder of the year;
- and if fine is not paid within 30 days of the letter date, the member will not be a member in good standing
