He played in the Knicks uniform from 1962 to 1966 as a forward who could shoot/score, rebound and defend. Even as a high school student he was acknowledged as a great all-round player. Jerry Ray Lucas is truly a legendary basketball player who ruled the game virtually for two decades. He was also named one of the NBA'S 50 Greatest Players. With an ideal height of 6-9, and more than perfect hands he possessed the quality to leave his spectators astonished. A long with guard Walt Frazier and forward DeBusschere he led New York to the NBA Finals in 1972. He was also the first American basketball player to win championships at all four levels: high school, college, Olympic, and professional.

Earl Vernon Monroe also known as "Earl the Pearl ," was known for his dribbling, passing and play-making. He spent eight years with the New York Knics and assisted the Knicks to win the 1973 NBA championship. Dave DeBusschere won two championships with the New York Knicks . He became the youngest coach of NBA history. The list of achievers also include the names of Phil Jackson , Charles Oakley , Anthony Mason , John Starks , Charlie Ward and Latrell Sprewell .
