Ghost Ship Tutorial This is my first attempt at writing a tutorial and I can't include screen shots but I hope you can follow my steps *G*.Feel free to use whatever color you choose,it does NOT have to be blue.Please read my TERMS OF SERVICE before doing this Tutorial.Thank you. First,you will need:
Paint Shop Pro 7,you can get the Demo version HERE
Visman's "Lakeside Reflection" Filter which you can get HERE ...
I cannot include the ship tube because I can't remember where I got it,sorry about that.Use any ship tube you can find that you will be happy with.OK,let's get goin'*SMILE*...
Open NEW IMAGE:700x450(it's large so you will have to resize when you're done),Transparent,16 Million Colors.Set Foreground to a pale blue (I used #AAC6D6) or whatever color you would like.Flood Fill Canvas.
NEXT:Go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Lights and use these Settings:DARKNESS=85,Light Source (ON checked),INTENSITY=40,DIRECTION=155, Color Box set to #C8C8C8,HORIZONTAL= -70,VERTICAL= - 70,SMOOTHNESS=28,SCALE=10,CONE SIZE=45,ASYMMETRY=500,Click on Box #1(directly below DARKNESS setting in lower left corner),click OK.
NEXT:Go to Effects>Reflection Effects>Kaleidoscope and use these Settings:HORIZONTAL OFFSET=1,VERTICAL OFFSET% =1,ROTATION ANGLE=117,SCALE FACTOR=0,NUMBER OF PETALS=10,NUMBER OF ORBITS=0,RADIAL SUCTION=0,click OK.
NEXT:Go to Effects>Illumination Effects>Sunburst and use these Settings:COLOR=White ,RAYS:DENSITY=100,BRIGHTNESS=100 ,PRESET=CENTER,LIGHT SPOT:BRIGHTNESS=100,HORIZONTAL=50,
VERTICAL=50,CIRCLE:BRIGHTNESS=0,
click OK.
NEXT:Go to Effects>Plugin Filters>VM Natural>Lakeside Reflection and use these Settings:HORIZON=125,WAVES=35,STRENG TH=12,TRANSITION=127,RED=67,
GREEN=119,BLUE=143,BLENDING=0,click OK.
NEXT:Open NEW IMAGE 100x100,Transparent,16 Million Colors,then click on Picture Tube Tool and in the Picture Tube Box,find your Ship and use these Settings:SCALE=37,STEP=112,place Ship in center of your small image then go to EDIT>COPY.Make Lake image Active and go to EDIT>PASTE>AS NEW LAYER.Using your Mover Tool,place Ship in center of GLOW on top of water.Open Layer Palette and make sure the Ship layer is Active and lower Opacity to 55.Go to LAYERS>MERGE VISIBLE and VOILA,you're done *SMILE*.Now you can frame your image however you like.Thanks for doing this Tutorial.
