Franklin Mint's porcelain portrait doll,
Diana,Princess of Loveliness.
Dressed in the gown,
originally designed by Catherine Walker,
for a movie premier of Steel Magnolias.
The original burgundy velvet tailcoat featured
gold and simulated pearl embroidery.
FM did use tiny pearl beading
and gold embroidery.
Franklin Mint's version is a limited edition
of 2,500. Lovely indeed!
