For centuries, flowers,
plants, birds, animals, colors, and gem stones have been used as symbolic and/or
practical tools in one way or another. One example would be where color has been
used is black to signify mourning or death, whereas white or red, depending upon the
culture, would signify a celebration of some kind. Similarly, gem stones have
been used in some capacity or another throughout time dating back to ancient
civilizations, and because of this, there are certain properties associated with
the stones.
Some of the gem stone properties included
are form/structure, vibration, grade/quality, ray/color, astrological association (i.e.
