"Kuchi Collars"

Unusual and exotic collar custom made dog collars, designed to fit most of the medium sized sighthounds (not to mention lots of non-sighthound breeds as well). They are intended to be worn for exhibition only - native costume class, parade of veterans, parade of champions, pet faires and expos, etc. Due to the fancy nature of these collars, they are not intended to be worn while the dog is unsupervised.

The kuchi choker necklaces the collars are made from has been specially refurbished - all the original (2nd rate/broken) glass and/or plastic has been replaced with new glass custom cut to fit the bezel. The metal has been carefully cleaned and polished. Pieces obtained with lapis inlay are carefully refurbished so the lapis inlay remains.

Each collar is a one of a kind original. The tribal jewelry pieces are becoming more difficult to obtain due to the unrest in that part of the world.

Hand-embroidered, counted cross stitch custom made dog collars. Authentic middle eastern patterns, reverse engineered from authentic Palestinean dresses. Some collars made from actual authentic middle eastern dresses that have been cut down and recycled.

Have some tribal pieces you scored on Ebay or at your local bellydance festival, but some stones are missing or the glass is totally icky-funky? We refurbish those pieces. We can restore them to 'native' standards, resetting stones/glass in beeswax, or we can set them with more durable, modern fixatives. We can replace the glass pieces with the colors of your choice (based on our stock and availibility) for a totally unique piece that reflects your character.
