We meet on the 2nd Teusday of each month at 7:30pm in the Parish center. The Columbian Squires are not at this parish but feel free to contact the Knights to locate the next nearest circle.
Our Lady of La Salette Council #11328 was chartered May 1994 with Charles Murray as the charter Grand Knight. He served until 1997 when Robert Ormsby relieved him. Bob served for two years until 1999, at which point James Geelan became Grand Knight. Bob relieved Jim in 2000 for one year. Then Andy Price, Sr. took over the helm for a year, with Charles St. Onge stepping up after that for two years. John Cheney, Sr. is currently serving as the Grand Knight for the 2004-2005 year.
Over the years the council has held family picnics at Moss Park, served the three summer month parish breakfasts, conducted several luau's, participated in the annual Handicap Drive, initiated a parish Spring Give Away as a fund raiser, provided manpower to install plywood window covers on the church and other parish buildings prior to the second hurricane, and provided financial support to the parish Youth Group. We are presently financially supporting a seminarian from our parish, financially supporting the parish building fund, financially supporting the parish hurricane relief fund, and annually presenting the parish altar servers with awards and recommending two to the Florida State Council for recognition.
This past August of 2004 our council sponsored a "Brunch with the Bishop" at our parish for His Excellency Thomas Wenski, to welcome him as the new Ordinary of the Orlando Diocese. It consisted of a Mass celebrated by Bishop Wenski with our chaplain and co-pastor Rev. Joseph Aquino, M.S. and our other co-pastor Rev. Ron Gagne, M.S. as con-celebrants. The Blessed Trinity Music Director, Hugh Bowen, assembled the parish adult, Spanish, and Children's choirs, along with the Diocese Philippine and Polish choirs which presented a music program to complement the mass with its diversity. Sir Knights from The Blessed Theodore G. Romzha Assembly 2279 and The Father William Holmes Assembly 1951 provided the Honor Guard and Color Corps. Afterward, a meal was served in the parish hall. Bishop Wenski blessed the council chalice and paten which is passed from family to family to encourage their prayers for vocations. The vestments worn by the bishop during the mass were specially tailored by Sir Knight Eugene Hawke of Assembly 2279 with the K of C emblems.
