Conduct
and Safety Rules:
The main purpose of these rules is to promote child safety and to develop habits
of self-control and disciplined behavior.
Clothing and Toys:
All removable garments, including shoes must be plainly marked with the child’s
name. We are not responsible for unmarked lost clothing. Clothing should be
appropriate for the activity filled day.
School Attendance:
Parents should call the school office at (916) 772-9291 between 8:00 and 8:30 the morning of a child's absence to inform the school of the reason. The school has an answering machine for your convenience. We also request that you send a note to the child's teacher, which is dated and signed by a parent, giving the reason for the absence.
Appointments during school hours for doctor, dentist, etc. should be kept to a minimum. Children may be dismissed early if they have a signed note from parents indicating the reason, the time of departure, and the person who will pick up the child at the office area.
If
a child is ill, he/she must be kept at home so not to spread illness to other
children. If a child is sick or is hurt during school hours, the school will
call the parent/guardian to make necessary arrangements to take the child home.
If the child is well enough to be in school, he/she is expected to participate
in the regular schedule. Only a doctor's note will exempt a child from outdoor
recess.
