A Story.
As a toddler I was in Hawaii with my family on one of those tourist magnet islands, in a small village. I had grabbed my dads camera, just because I had to have something in my hads. I saw a chicken run right across my feet. I knew I had to take it's picture. And I was scolded for doing that. "What a waste of film" my parents said. Well from that day forth I knew to spite my parents I would become a photographer and "waste film."
Well, my next incounter with photography was a few years later. When I was 12 my uncle found a Canon AE-1 Program in Disney World and gave it to my father, and because my dad had no clue how to use it I took it. I started taking photographs of everything: street photography, fire works, cats, dogs, anything interesting.
In high school, I got involved with the school newspaper and eventually became the photo editor for 2 years. Between my all the "work" I was doing in school and my social life, I made time to keep shooting. And one of the things I learned to love about photography is that It gave me a chance to interact with people aswell as meet new people.
Last year I completed my OAC's at Central Technical School.
I have taken this year off before going to a post-secondary education.
I have been working at Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament as his Majesties King Alfonso's loyal Trumpeteer. I have been able to assist a freelance Urban photographer Benjamin Jordan. Also, I have had the opertunity to assist Marcine Linder who has been working on a Documentary film on prominent North American Editorial photographers, such as Seth Resnick and Steven Tackeff.
One of my old friends once said "kevin your such a social slut" I think she was right, I love people, and it shows in all my photographs.
