The history of the Swan Family dates back to the early 1800's when, at a time of economic hardships, one family was left remaining...Qayaiyaqtauluk and his sister Mannuyak! My Ataata (grandfather) is a descendent of Qayaiyaqtauluk. Thus began a history of artists! Here, you will find different works of art made by various artists, including members of the Swan Family. This site is dedicated to our late grandfather Reverend Replogle Clinton Innitchiaq Swan, who passed away back in August of 2002. From him began a legion of artists and singers. Not only was he artistically inclined, he was also musically talented. He was a self-taught pianoist, passing on his talent to a few of his grandchildren, the creator of this website included. Find the link of another website created by my sister Qaigan, who is one of the very talented granddaughers of Clinton. On it you will find her very masterful artwork. She has done her grandfather proud. Although we are artistically talented, no one compares to her skill. She is a master! Check it out! In memory of my grandmother Charlotte Aviigan Suvluuraq Swan, who passed away in December of 2000, my uncle Victor Ilutuuq Swan, who left us in April of 2002 and his brother Sylvester Ilaniaq Swan Sr., who passed on in November of 2002, I close with this: THE SWAN LINEAGE LIVES ON!
