Materials:
Cotton size 5, hook size 4, 1899 yds. 35 x 36 inches.
Cotton size 10, hook size 7, 1691 yds. 29 x 28 inches.
Cotton size 20, hook size 9, 1587 yds. 28 x 27 inches.
Cotton size 30, hook size 11, 1484 yds. 27 x 26 inches.


Instructions:
Starting at bottom of the pattern, chain (ch) 28. Ch 3 to turn and used as the first double crochet (dc) in the first row. Dc in 5th ch from the hook and in the next 2 chs to complete the first filet square. Continue following chart pattern, increase or decrease where needed.

Increasing a solid mesh (block) at the end of the row:
Yo (twice), insert hook in same st as last dc worked, complete 1 tr.
2nd Step: Yo (twice), insert hook in base of last tr made, complete 1 tr.
Third step: To increase another solid mesh (block): Repeat 2nd step once (1 solid mesh inc made). Repeat 2nd step (3 times more) for each additional solid mesh increase.

Step 1: At end of previous row, ch 5 (3 first dc)+(2 first space), turn, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next ch (1 block inc made).
Step 2:
Dc in next dc, continue across, following chart.
When you are increasing more than one solid mesh (block) at the beginning of a row:
Step 1: At end of previous row, ch 2 (for first additional block) + 3 more for each additional block required, + 3 (first dc), turn, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next ch (first block inc made).
Step 2: * Dc in next 3 sts *, repeat from * to * as required. Continue across following chart.
