Kos Town
Kos Neo Polis

Welcome to part five of my pictures from Kos Town. These pictures were from the ancient Agora (marketplace). This was where people would come to buy or sell goods, to commune, to worship their gods and to discuss the nature of man. What is left is ruins of the temples and churches that replaced some. The market stalls were most likely wooden structures that were burnt or fell down and most of the bricks were used in other structures. For more information, please see part one

I hope you enjoy the photos. Any comments, please E-mail me, jpolos@stmarys-ca.edu. Click on the title or thumbnail to view the larger picture.
