Future

My future. Bleak, foggy, not looking to well. If I’m lucky I’ll end up on Some
T.V. show filmed in L.A. and airing twice a week. Who knows?
Honestly however that is not the future I am hoping for. Fame
and fortune aren’t exactly the life of luxury. All I want is a nice little house in
New Orleans, a condo in L.A., and enough money to take a vacation once in a while.
After I graduate in the top ten of my class, I am going to get into either
UCLA or UTEP and work my way through college to get my degree
in either Musical arts and/or Literature.  I know it sounds like a nerd is
talking to you, but really the only reason I know what I’m talking about
is because my mom works at my high school and talks to the counselors
a lot. By this time I plan to have had at least a book of my poems published
and I’ll be getting some money from that, then I can find a job as a private
teacher or a writer or I can simply do as Anne Rice did and
publish a new book each year for the rest of my life.
Of course this will include a family. I don’t plan on getting married until
I’ve at least gone through most of my college time. And I do plan on
having children and adopting children. Don’t ask me why because
I know how much of a pain they can be because I’ve done every bad
thing in the book except murder and suicide. But my mom
still hasn’t killed me for setting the carpet on fire.
Anyway that’s the basic hopeful roadmap of my life. I could go into
excruciating detail, but I’m  sure that whoever is reading must have
something more important things to do than sit and read about to boring
future of the next big novelist. Maybe later I'll go into detail when I have more time.
