Hi. I'm George, But i only write under that name. My Real name is Tom Tellwright from that wonderful sunny country of Britian. I write when im happy, when im sad and when i remember to Tragically, the author who we had known as "George" passed away. When his father found out about Tom's submissions to FHS, he was kind enough to write us the following e-mail : Good morning, I am sorry but I do not know your name, however I wanted to pass on our thanks to you for this site. Our son died recently from a brain tumour – he was 18. In an idle moment I did a Google search on his name and found your site where he was listed as an author under the nom de plume of “George”. We had no idea that he had written poetry or submitted it to an online publisher and I was astonished to find it. His poem “Goodbye” was read at the service of Thanksgiving that we held for him and all were very moved by the poignancy of it. I am sure that this is not the purpose of your site but I thought I would tell you that finding our sons poems has meant a lot to us – it has provided another insight to our sons character that we were completely unaware of. Small things can make a big difference and this has helped us tremendously, so I would like to thank you for the site and long may it continue to allow people to read the works of Tom “George” Tellwright and others like him. Yours, Martin Tellwright Though we may not have known him personally, Tom was not only a fellow writer but a member of our little online family. He will be missed. And everyone should keep in mind a little bit of wisdom that Mr. Tellwright shared with us: "do all you can today- for you never know what tomorrow holds." Thoughts on life Jay gave it: 4/5 Why do I hear Dracula from Symphony of the Night when I read this? The last bit is particularly keen. It's always hard to say Goodbye Jay gave it: 4/5 Ahso, wise one say words of truth. *bows serenely* My life is all a blur... Everywhere you turn, you find fear |
